EXERCISE - CHILD POSE (SHIRSHASANA OR SHISHUASANA )

Process : Sit on your heels. Keeping your hips on the heels, bend forward, and lower your forehead to the floor. Keep the arms alongside your body with hands on the floor, palms facing up. (If this is not comfortable, you can place one fist on top of another and rest your forehead on them.) Gently press your chest on the thighs. Hold. Slowly come up to sit on the heels, uncurling vertebra by vertebra and relax. Shishuasana is an excellent pose to decongest the chest and relax the mind. Benefits : Shishuasana or shirshasana is an best pose to decongest the chest and relax the mind. CAUTIONS:                 This pose is advised against the case of high blood pressure, heart palpitations, glaucoma, during menstruation or hiatal hernia.

EXERCISE - THE CORRECT WAY TO INHALE STEAM

Process: Heat up water to boiling temperature. Now cautiously pour the hot water into the bowl. Cover the towel over the back of your head. Close your eyes and slowly lower your head toward the vapour about 10 inches away from the water. Avoid making direct contact with the water. Inhale slowly and deeply via the nose for at least two to five minutes. Don’t steam for more than 10-15 minutes per session. However, you can repeat steam therapy twice or thrice in a day to ease congestion or if you still suffer from symptoms. Benefits : The key benefit of inhaling in moist, warm steam is that it may help alleviate irritation and swollen blood vessels in the nasal passages.  The vapour may also support thinning of the mucus in your sinuses, which permits them to clear out easily.  It also relaxes throat muscles, lessen soreness and inflammation and dilates blood vessels improving blood circulation. This allows breathing to return to normal and help you to breathe well.

IMMUNITY BOOSTER - BLACK TEA

  INGREDIENTS: Tea leaves  x1 tsp Sugar x  1/2 Water PROCEDURE : Take some water in a saucepan and add sugar or cubes in water and cook on a medium flame for about two minutes, while stirring occasionally. Now as the water comes to a boil, add tea leaves and keep stirring on medium flame for about two minutes. Now let the water infuse all the goodness from the tea leaves on low flame and cover the lid for about another two minutes. Strain the black tea immediately and enjoy. IMMUNITY BOOSTER - GINGER TEA

  INGREDIENTS: Tea leaves  x1 tsp Ginger  x  1/2 PROCEDURE : Thinly slice your fresh ginger. You don’t need to peel it first, but do rinse it and scrub off any visible dirt. Plan on about using about a one-inch piece of ginger per cup of tea. In a saucepan, combine the ginger with fresh water (use one cup of water per serving). Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat as necessary to maintain a gentle simmer. Simmer for five minutes (or up to 10 minutes, if you want extra-strong tea). I usually think it’s pungent enough at five minutes. Pour the tea through a fine sieve to catch all of the ginger. If desired, serve your tea with a thin round of lemon or orange for some complementary acidity. IMMUNITY BOOSTER - MIX FRUIT JUICE

Ingredients 4 apples (cored) 5 carrots 3 lemons 4-5 oranges fresh ginger (2 inch x 1 inch) fresh turmeric (1-2 inch x 1/2 inch, sub with 1-2 tbsp powdered turmeric) zinc (optional, 1 tbsp per glas) Instructions using juicer Prepare vegetables and fruit for juicing.
